Presentation:
Soteras Group was formed in 1917 with the opening of the Can Soteras Restaurant by Jaume Soteras. The restaurant has an excellent reputation for Catalonian cuisine in Barcelona and although it is now known as the Diagonal Can Soteras Restaurant, it still maintains the same spirit of its origins. It is backed by more than 20 years of the traditional “snail season” regional culinary festival and is a meeting point for entertainment and sports personalities and journalists from the Catalonian culture.



Since the 1960s, the Soteras Group has grown as a hospitality group with the opening of the Castelldefels del Playafels Hotel; a complex conceived for relaxation and the pleasure of the best service, quality and commitment in constant evolution.

The Ciudad de Castelldefels Hotel and Gran Hotel Rey Don Jaime were opened with the same objective in 1970 and 1990.


The Soteras Group currently manages the following hotels in Castelldefels: The Gran Hotel Rey Don Jaime, Ciudad de Castelldefels Hotel, the Playafels Hotel, the Bel Air Hotel and the El Péndulo Beach Club.
In Barcelona, the group manages the Diagonal Can Soteras, Tres Molinos, and Masia Tibidabo restaurants, as well as several university cafeterias.
